The following is a transcript of Hawkesbury Marriages taken from Phillimores Gloucestershire Parish Registers. 1603-1812 by Lisa Britton.
The Parish registers of Hawkesbury are contained in the following , Volume I including 1603 to 1642 is of parchment: Volume II is on paper, and apparently is but a copy: it includes 1645 to 1682, Volume III which is on parchment includes 1683 to 1729. These three volumes are all now bound together in one. Volume IV from 1730 to 1753 is an ordinary register bound in leather. Volume V from 1754 to July 1798 is the ordinary official volume of forms, as also is Volume VI from October 1798 to 1812.
The Marriages have been extracted by the Editor and the Rev E. R. Mosley, vicar of Hawkesbury, and subsequently collated by the Rev W, Symonds, vicar of Frocester.
