Hawkesbury Show 2003
Below are pictures taken Saturday 30th August 2003 a big thank you to Dave Hedges and Dawn for the shots
First in the parade is the Carnival queen and her two attendants the Beaufort Inn can be seen to the left everyone lines the road or follows the main procession.
over the years the queen has tended to get younger or am I getting older? at this point they are passing the wreck (recreation field where the hall and fair are)
A steam traction engine the drivers are getting younger as well (it must be me getting older) they used be seen hauling stone, running the fair ground, running the threshing machines, and in teams of two ploughing, poetry in motion
A miniature steam lorry (it was full sized before they washed it)
don't know which band this is but nice matching old tractor at the turn of the century the Stinchcombe family band did the honors
Should have thought to have added sound
the main parade is that Robin Hood with the road crew behind
These young ladies have long legs but what's the story behind them
looks like the navy followed by the Flintstones
The parade moves on towards the school
Hawkesburys answer to the Yorkshire women's institute calendar girls the Eurovision thong contest
And I thought they would All be in thongs?
Hawkesbury play group meet Ground Force
My favorite save water take a bath together no its the Hawkesbury Olympic Synchronized swimming team.
